What makes us Atomic?
You may be wondering what makes the Atomic Rollergirls, atomic. Well, we chose the name because from 1951 to 1992, Nevada was the primary testing location of American nuclear devices. There were over 900 nuclear tests conducted, over 800 of those were done underground. During the 1950s, the mushroom clouds from atmospheric tests could be seen for almost 100 miles. The city of Las Vegas experienced noticeable seismic effects, and the distant mushroom clouds, which could be seen from the downtown hotels, became tourist attractions. So with Las Vegas becoming a "hot spot" to enjoy the view of atomic blasts, what better way to show homage to the great history by continuing to entertain Las Vegas with the Atomic Rollergirls!
